Immerse yourself in the beauty and art of Amsterdam with one of our certified guides, and enjoy a tour that has been customized to fit your needs and interests!
Your day will begin at the Rijksmuseum, known as Holland’s version of the Louvre, where you’ll enjoy an in-depth introduction to Dutch art history and see the highlights of the museum’s incredible 8,000-piece collection. You’ll learn about the Dutch Golden Age with masterpieces from Vermeer and Rembrandt and explore lesser-known gems, including a collection of 17th century dollhouses and a captured British warship, so that by the time you leave, you’ll understand why this is an absolute must-see of the city.
After lunch, you’ll take a closer look at the life and work of Rembrandt, one of the most iconic Dutch artists. You’ll walk through Spiegelquarter, famous for its unique selection of antiques and crafts, and then head over to the Keizersgracht, or the Emperor’s canal, where you’ll discuss one of Rembrandt’s most successful apprentices. In Rembrandt Square, you’ll learn about the night watch guards, who were immortalized in one of Rembrandt’s most famous paintings, and are featured here as bronze sculptures. From there, you’ll head over to Staalstraat to learn about the local Drapers’ Guild, also the subject of a celebrated Rembrandt portrait, before walking over to Waterloo Square and the former Jewish quarter, where Rembrandt and his wife once lived. You’ll end the tour at the Rembrandt House Museum, and get a glimpse into a more intimate side of the artist, as you examine his etchings and wander through his office, where he produced much of the work we know today.
Highlights Include:
Rembrandt masterpieces, including “Syndics of the Drapers’ Guild”
17th century dollhouses, Delft ceramics, captured British warship
The Emperor’s Canal, one of the city’s three major canals
Spiegelquarter, a must-see for lovers of artistic curiosities and antiques

While the small group tour is expensive, Angelo made it well more than worthwhile. His base of knowledge in the art field was outstanding! He overextended himself by providing a great amount of background information, supported by extensive pictures on his iPad, about various artists and their individual works. He easily handled questions from several guests who had a great deal of knowledge about various art ages. artists and there relation with each other. We highly recomend this tour. Be prepared to be overwhelmed.
We were a group of only three and had a great time. I never felt rushed or overwhelmed, as I often can at galleries or museums, and learned a lot. We saw all that we’d hoped to and Audrey is so knowledgeable. She has a gentle manner, and we all loved spending the morning with her. Thanks Audrey!
We had a great tour with Angelo. I cannot believe wee able to see everything that we did. He made it all come alive.
Our tour guide Angelo was informative, high energy and brought the museum stories to life! He shared interesting details you would not get without the tour. Highly recommend!!
Josephine was excellent. So knowledgeable. Added to our enjoyment of the Museum. We did skip the line, not necessary today.
